Does the world’s fastest supercomputer need super fast music?
It might come as a surprise that with this collaboration with Red Hat, we decided to subvert expectations a little and have underscore at a nice, even tempo to juxtapose the wildly fast El Capitan system from LLNL. In music, and elsewhere, often “less is more.”
In this case, we used a relaxed drum beat, some percolating string ostinatos, and some fun synth plucks to bridge the gap between the very human story of the genesis of this supercomputer and the next generation technology behind it all.
I wrote the music and created the sound design for this short informational film.
