Helping WGA members track their projects

Helping WGA members track their projects

The Start Button

I recently wrote the score for John August’s video explaining The Start Button - a new way for WGA members to track their current projects and request help from their guild if they need it.

The video has a nice, hand-drawn quality to it, so I tried to keep the score plucky and kind of “indie” sounding. The instrumentation is simple - piano, string quartet, and a jazz brush kit.

I’m often asked to write epic action pieces so it was nice to have the chance to compose something that sounded intimate and bouncy.

I hope you enjoy this little track. I certainly enjoyed writing it.
